Ruaha Jimbiza Camp - Tanzania
Ruaha Jimbiza Camp is one of the little-known diamonds of 'Safari Africa', and Tanzania's biggest national stop. Situated in a remote area in the south of Tanzania, Ruaha Jimbiza Camp is a long way from the beaten track and has a novel geology, as the acacia savannahs of East Africa converge to the miombo forests more predominant in the south of the mainland. This fantastic condition is wealthy in natural life and big game, with sightings of substantial prides of lion and immense crowds of elephant and other animals. For sheer quantities of untamed life, the dry period of July to October is without uncertainty the prime time to visit Ruaha Jimbiza Camp, as extensive groups rush to the Great Ruaha waterway, giving a lot of sustenance to the rich predators.
Ruaha can be accessible by road and by scheduled flights from Dar es salaam, Zanzibar and Arusha. The closest Airstrip is Msembe which is about 12 kms from Our Camp.
About the Camp:
Ruaha Jimbiza Camp is self made camp, a dream of Mr Abri (Punda) which is on the main road heading to Ruaha Jimbiza Camp.
The most attractive feature of the this Camp is that it enables you to have an authentic wildlife experience without sacrificing on any comfort, as wild life visit the camp and spend quality time looking around and drink water in the handmade water pool designed by the owner himself.
The Camp has 4 different types of Accommodation, options available to guests, one can choose to stay at the permanent built chalets, family rooms or stay in the tent structures or in Masai tree tops for a more intimate bush experience.
Every one of the accommodation has an en-suite shower room and have twin or double beds with fan.
The camp has a huge land, consists of a roof thatched Restaurant and Bar and meals cooked by our very experienced Chef.
The Camp runs on generators and solar system and the hot water is something to admire as the water is heated up in a system by log fire and keeps the water hot for up to 12 hrs.
The swimming pool is cleaned and always maintained by the guard.
For those who are interested in camping, we have a thatched camping place where you can pitch your tent under the thatched veranda 'Msonge' so not to get any sun rays effecting you, and enjoy the facility of toilets ,showers with an enormous kitchen where you can cook your meals and dining place .
The camp is perfect for families who want to experience the bush life together.
We have our own vehicle for game drives which are 4x4 open vehicles with a capacity of 6 Passengers.
